Concert «Vicky Nhung – Chu Thúy Quỳnh» at Mây Lang Thang

   Two female voices built very differently, sharing one open-air stage: one writes the ballads she sings, the other has a low register that Vietnamese pop rarely produces. Vicky Nhung and Chu Thúy Quỳnh meet at The Nest on an early-November evening, when Đà Lạt is in its best stretch of the year.

   Vicky Nhung is a singer-songwriter: two songs from the VTV drama «Tình yêu và tham vọng» — «Giá như ta chẳng biết nhau» and «Tình yêu tự tìm được lối» — are hers, written and performed. Chu Thúy Quỳnh became widely known with «Xem như em chẳng may», and her contralto is the kind you recognise from the first line; she trained with People's Artist Hà Thủy.

   A night for ballad listeners curious how two opposite timbres complement each other, and for anyone spending a slow weekend in Đà Lạt. Seating at The Nest is arranged in clusters rather than rows, so whichever tier you choose you sit closer to the stage than in a theatre of the same size. Worth booking early if you want the seats facing the pines.

   Before you go: The Nest sits at 519 Thôn Măng Lin in Lang Biang ward, about 12 km from the centre of Đà Lạt, so allow time for the trip. The organisers run a shuttle at 25,000 VND per person with a capped number of seats, picking up at Phở 16 in the Lang Biang sports complex — book it together with your ticket. Children under 1 m sit with a parent free of charge; from 1 m to 1.2 m they need their own seat at a 70% surcharge, 30% of which is refunded at check-in. Groups of 10 seats get 5% off, 20 seats 10%; prices include VAT.
