Concert «Quốc Thiên»

   As the sun drops behind the Da Lat hills, the «La Maritza» rooftop lounge turns into a stage: this is where Quốc Thiên sings.    Quốc Thiên is one of the most recognisable lyrical voices in Vietnamese pop. He first drew attention as a finalist of Vietnam Idol 2008 and later settled into the role of a ballad singer: a soft, deep timbre, an unhurried delivery and songs where phrasing matters more than volume.

   The venue is the Music Sky Lounge on the roof of the «Golden Sun» hotel: from here you look out over tiled roofs, pine trees and distant ridges.
