Concert «Phương Linh» at Mây Lang Thang

   Some voices only make full sense outdoors, once the light has gone behind the pines and the stage is a few metres from your seat. Phương Linh returns to The Nest at Mây Lang Thang for a ballad evening the way Đà Lạt does it in late October: cool, unhurried and close enough to hear her breathe.

   Phương Linh (born 1984) is one of the familiar ballad voices of Vietnamese pop; for years her duets with Hà Anh Tuấn were a fixture of the domestic stage. Her cover of «Anh cứ đi đi» by songwriter Vương Anh Tú spread online and brought her back to live shows after a long pause.

   This one is for listeners who like ballads sung plainly and familiar songs in a small space — and for anyone who simply wants a complete Đà Lạt afternoon: a seat among the pines, sunset, then music. At The Nest the songs are separated by pauses and a little conversation with the audience, which a closed theatre rarely allows. If you are in town that weekend, this is the evening to book first.

   Before you go: The Nest sits at 519 Thôn Măng Lin in Lang Biang ward, about 12 km from the centre of Đà Lạt, so allow time for the trip. The organisers run a shuttle at 25,000 VND per person with a capped number of seats, picking up at Phở 16 in the Lang Biang sports complex — book it together with your ticket. Children under 1 m sit with a parent free of charge; from 1 m to 1.2 m they need their own seat at a 70% surcharge, 30% of which is refunded at check-in. Groups of 10 seats get 5% off, 20 seats 10%; prices include VAT.
