Concert «Dạ Khúc» (Nocturne)

   Four of the most durable voices in Vietnamese popular music on one seaside stage, in an evening built entirely around love songs. Hồ Tràm sits roughly two hours by road from Ho Chi Minh City, which turns a concert ticket into a plausible weekend: show at night, beach in the morning.

   The bill brings together Quang Linh, Cẩm Ly, Quang Dũng and Phương Vy — four quite different registers, from lyrical folk-inflected singing to straight pop ballads, placed in the same set list. «Dạ khúc» means «nocturne», and the title is an accurate warning: this is an indoor evening in The Grand Ballroom rather than an open-air festival.

   Seating is sold in three zones and the difference is mostly proximity: Zone 3 is the entry tier, Zone 1 sits closest to the stage. For this kind of repertoire that distance matters more than usual — the songs are built on intimacy rather than volume.
