Festival «Nông sản, OCOP, làng nghề gắn kết du lịch»

   The easiest way to taste northern Vietnam is where the producer stands behind the counter in person. For one week the riverside stretch in the centre of Tuyen Quang turns into an open-air market of 120 stalls: farm produce, OCOP-certified goods, work from the province's craft villages, a tea-tasting area and a food court. You arrive right in the middle of the country's biggest Mid-Autumn celebration.

   The layout is fixed in the plan. Sixty stalls belong to communes, wards, companies, cooperatives and workshops from the province itself, and their owners sell and demonstrate their craft at the same table. Another 54 go to the trade department, trade promotion centres, businesses and cooperatives from Tuyen Quang and from other provinces. Six standard pavilions of about 54 sq m together hold certified OCOP goods, the province's best rural-industry products and the tea space. The food court and the Lễ hội Bia beer festival add 30 more stalls of food and drink.

   What runs on the site:

• — Opening ceremony at 8 pm on 18 September: a concert, the opening address and the handover of OCOP certificates, followed by a walk through the festival spaces.
• — Craft village space with live demonstrations of traditional trades, artisans to talk to and hands-on activities.
• — Exhibition and sale of farm produce, OCOP goods, fine handicrafts and regional specialities.
• — Food court and beer festival with 30 standard catering stalls.
• — Folk songs and dances on the site every evening.

   The fair suits families with children, anyone who prefers buying food straight from the maker, and travellers curious to watch a trade done by hand rather than on a screen. If you are coming from far away, the two halves of the day fit together neatly: the stalls by day, the illuminated lantern floats on the streets after dark.

   The festival runs inside Lễ hội Thành Tuyên 2026, the largest Mid-Autumn festival in Vietnam, held from 19 to 25 September. The provincial People's Committee ordered it, Sở Công Thương, the department of industry and trade, is in charge, and Trung tâm Khuyến công và Xúc tiến Công Thương, the centre for industry support and trade promotion, carries it out. Around 180 guests are expected at the opening, including 20 from central agencies and 70 from provinces and cities across the north.

   For those who want a stall of their own, the province covers 100% of the rental cost for communes, wards, companies, cooperatives and producers based in Tuyen Quang, up to 60 stalls, and half of it for participants from elsewhere. Applications close on 15 September.

   The site stretches along the park by the bank of the Lô river and runs from đường Chiến Thắng Sông Lô into đường 17/8, so there are several ways in rather than a single gate.
