Relay race «AEON Ekiden 2026» in Tan An

   A Japanese-style team relay comes to Tan An: teammates split the course and pass a tasuki sash from hand to hand, while spectators get a full festival with cosplay, booths and performances. And it costs nothing — the organizers state the race «charges no fees in any form».

   AEON Ekiden returns after 4 successful seasons; in 2026 the series visits three AEON venues — Hai Phong, Hue and Tan An — with a distinctly Vietnamese-Japanese cultural flavour. The Tan An leg closes the series on 20 September 2026. Tan An is the former Long An capital, now part of Tay Ninh province, about an hour southwest of Ho Chi Minh City.

   Program (expected):

   — Saturday 19.09, 09:00–16:30 — racekit pickup: shirt, bib and tasuki sash
— Sunday 20.09, from 04:30 — bag drop opens
— 05:40–06:50 — relay heats for categories A and B
— 06:00 — expo zone and booths open
— 09:00–10:30 — awards and closing ceremony

   It is built for teams of friends, colleagues and families: trained and casual runners race in their own categories, and kids get a whole festival morning on the side.

   Registration is free on ActiUp from 18.08 until 12.09.2026; the schedule may shift depending on conditions.

   Bring your crew — a tasuki sash only means something when you hand it on.
