Children's talent contest «Đêm hội tài năng» (Talent Night)

Fifty children, a stage in a shopping-mall atrium and one full-moon evening to show what they can do: sing, dance, tell a story, or simply walk the runway with confidence in a Chú Cuội costume. Nha Trang Center turns the Mid-Autumn night into a talent contest for the children of Khánh Hòa.

The contest runs in three parts. A costume catwalk, where the children appear as Chú Cuội, Chị Hằng and other Mid-Autumn characters, walk the stage and introduce themselves. A singing, dancing and movement round, where each child brings their own number. And a storytelling and poetry round, with tales of the full moon, of Chú Cuội and Chị Hằng, and of family.

   What the jury hands out:
First place - a premium Hoàn Vũ Yến mooncake box and a child's suitcase
Second place - a premium Hoàn Vũ Yến mooncake box and a child's backpack
Third place - a premium Hoàn Vũ Yến mooncake box
Consolation gifts for every child who takes part

The contest is open to children aged 6 to 15 living in Khánh Hòa, and takes only the first 50 entries. Parents register through the Nha Trang Center Facebook page by message, giving the child's full name and date of birth along with the parent's or guardian's name and phone number. Entries close on 23 September.

It is a good fit for children already taking singing or dance lessons, and for those just learning to stand in front of a crowd: a real stage and a real audience, but with the easy mood of a festival night. If your child performs mainly in the living room, this is a manageable next step.
