Festival «Trung thu diệu kỳ» (Magical Mid-Autumn)

   For three days running, the avenue in front of the castle on Hòn Tre island becomes a lantern route: a parade of fairytale characters carries star lanterns down it, while guests glue together their own lanterns from early afternoon. The theme park has written the eighth-month full moon into its show schedule.

   The three Mid-Autumn items are spaced through the day, so walking the whole set fills the afternoon and rolls into the evening:

   The Mid-Autumn additions sit on top of the park's standing programme, which includes the evening musical fountain show and the Tata Show on the main stage, so one gate ticket opens both layers.

   It suits families with small children best of all: a workshop where the little ones sit and build something, a parade to chase and photograph, and a pre-show to end the day on light. If you are choosing between a street festival night and a full day out, this is the second option.
