Concert «129BPM»

   Contemporary dance rarely feels this physical: movement, sound and heartbeat become one language, and you catch your own rhythm in relation to the people around you. For the first time, Nha Trang hosts a work where the street energy of hip hop steps beyond a show and opens a dialogue with live electronic sound on stage.

   In brief:
— 129BPM is the heartbeat of a living body, asking one question: how can we live together?
— hip hop is the raw material, but the piece moves past the frame of street performance
— no linear story, rather an experience of perception: connection and distance, collision and harmony
— a new version after runs in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Penang (Malaysia)

   Director and choreographer is Bui Ngoc Quan (Bùi Ngọc Quân). The music is composed and performed live by Tiny Giant and Dan Duong (Đan Dương). On stage are dancers of H2Q Dance Company: Nguyen Duy Thanh (Nguyễn Duy Thành), Lam Duy Phuong (Lâm Duy Phương), Son Luong (Sơn Lương), Nguyen Ngoc (Nguyễn Ngọc), Bui Quang Huy (Bùi Quang Huy), Nguyen Do Quoc Khanh (Nguyễn Đỗ Quốc Khanh), Vu Tien Tho (Vũ Tiến Thọ) and Heung Won Lee — also known under the stage names Kim, Mini Phantom, Snoop Gee, Nega and Joong. Assistant choreographer is Lyon Nguyen (Lyon Nguyễn).
