Photography exhibition «Khánh Hòa — Hải trình tứ vịnh» (A Journey of Four Bays)

   The four bays that shape this coast — Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Van Phong and Vinh Hy — have been gathered into one room in central Nha Trang. You can travel the whole route in an afternoon, through the lenses of photographers who have spent years working these waters.

   The show brings together 40 large-format prints by eight photographers, curated by Ly Hoang Long. The images move across seascapes and islands, maritime culture, community life, heritage sites and the biodiversity of the four bays, each with a very different character. It is organised by the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with PDA & Partners, and doubles as the launch of the province's new destination positioning, Khanh Hoa — A Journey of Four Bays.

   It suits photography people and anyone who wants to see this province beyond the beach in front of their hotel. If you are planning where to go after Nha Trang, this is the fastest briefing you will get: Van Phong still raw, Cam Ranh quiet, Vinh Hy tucked between mountains and sea.

   At the opening on the afternoon of 18 August, Nguyen Long Bien, standing vice-chairman of the provincial People's Committee, described the series as a systematic way of presenting the province's landscape, culture and daily life, and the first step towards an image archive the province can use for years.

   The venue sits in the middle of town, a short ride from the beachfront hotels — worth an hour if you are anywhere near it.
