Aquathlon «Aqua Warriors Huế 2026»

   Swim a stretch of the river that runs through the whole history of the old imperial capital, then climb out and run along both of its banks. Huế is getting its first swim-and-run race, and it is routed through the exact landscape the city is known for — which also makes the banks the best free grandstand in town.

   This is the debut Huế leg of the Aqua Warriors Vietnam Series, operated by BOLT EVENT, the company behind the Hạ Long, Vân Đồn and Quảng Trị editions. The race menu:

• — Olympic — 1.5 km swim and 10 km run, ages 16 and up, solo or relay
• — Open 1.5 Swim — the 1.5 km swim only, ages 16 and up
• — Sprint — 0.75 km swim and 5 km run, ages 12 and up
• — Junior — 0.3 km swim and 2 km run, ages 9 to 11
• — Kid — 0.15 km swim and 1 km run, ages 5 to 8

   The distance ladder is built for families rather than for specialists: an adult takes Olympic or Sprint, a child takes Junior or Kid, and everyone races the same morning on the same water. For a visitor it is also the rare chance to see the Perfume River used as a venue rather than as scenery.

   One thing to know before you plan around it: entries are closed and the race is sold out on the ticketing platform, with registration shut in early August, so this year the river bank is your only way in. Entry fees ran in waves from 479,000 VND for the Kid distance in the earliest window up to 2,649,000 VND for the Olympic relay in the last one.

   The organisers have not yet published the course map or the race-morning schedule on the official site, so check BOLT EVENT's latest announcement before travelling. The same operator runs Huế Amazing Marathon 2026 the following day, on 30 August — one weekend, two start lines, if you are building a trip around it.
