Huế, the Perfume River club, founded in 1975 and also known as the Ancient Capital club or the Huế Land club. Winners of the 2006 National Cup, they play at the 28,000-seat Tự Do stadium, one of Central Vietnam's oldest grounds. The current head coach is Lê Chí Nguyện.
The visitors, Khatoco Khánh Hòa (the Blue Swiftlet), founded in 1976 and re-established in 2013, nicknamed the Blue Swiftlet after Khánh Hòa's famous edible bird's nest trade. A familiar Nha Trang club, already covered separately on cityguide.vn for its own home fixtures.
