Dance party «Eclipse: Last Summer Dance» at Papaya Papa

   Summer in Saigon is nearly over, and the people behind this night decided to see it off on the dancefloor rather than quietly. One evening holds four directions at once: melodic techno for the hypnotic crowd, afro house for the groove, indie dance for anyone tired of the predictable, and tech house for those who came to lose themselves. Moods, tempos and textures shift as the night moves.

   The line-up is curated by W&P together with Nikita Wiznick. Five sets follow one another, each holding its own direction, so the night never settles into a single genre: afro house and melodic techno are the two poles it travels between.

   This one is for you if you follow electronic nights for the sets rather than the names, and if you like an evening that is split into distinct chapters. Newcomers to house music will find it easy to walk into: the early hours are softer, and the beat gets heavier as the night goes on.

   If you want a table, message the organisers in advance, because seating is not sold through any page. If you are only here to dance, simply turn up.

   This is the last summer night of the season at Papaya Papa, and it was built to be remembered rather than to pass unnoticed.
