Club night «Kimoji, MLiR, Hibiya Line and Staraphoria»

About the event

   One of this dancefloor's most talked-about guests comes back, and this time he gets an entire room to himself for the whole night. For a club about to close, every remaining night carries its own weight.

   Kimoji comes from Jakarta and played the club's terrace during last season's Rainbow Disco Club takeover — an appearance strong enough for the hosts to bring him back. This time he holds the Club Room all night with disco, house, feel-good grooves and the slightly off-kilter funky turns that are his signature.

   Out on the terrace a parallel programme runs:

  • — MLiR and Hibiya Line, two regulars of the Saigon floor;
  • — Staraphoria, the couple DJ duo the club calls its own favourite, playing here for the last time.

   Both spaces run at once, so the night is effectively two nights in one: you can move back and forth between the inside room and the terrace and hear two different directions on a single entry.

   The club's two rooms have different characters: the Club Room is enclosed, with a dense sound and full attention on the music, while the terrace is airier, easier for talking and the part most people remember this place by. This night uses both at once, so you can set your own pace.

   The Observatory closes in October after years as the room where much of the city's underground electronic music grew up. That is why the hosts' message is simple: come early and stay late.

   Advance tickets cost less than entry at the door, and for a final run of nights like this one, booking early is the sensible move.
