Club night «Kencore Vol.8 – Untitled»

   A party that refuses to name itself. Saigon collective Kén puts it plainly: they do not want to decide in advance what you are supposed to hear, feel or experience. Two rooms, ten sets back to back and a night with no title — everyone gets to name it for themselves.

   The eighth edition of the Kencore series is called «Untitled» precisely because a name sets a frame. In the crew's own words: «Every person comes with a different perspective. Every night can become a different story. The only thing we know for sure is that music remains at the center of it all».

   Club, the main room:

   Terrace, in the open air:

   The sound is bass and experimental — broken, heavy and hard to predict, exactly the territory Kén has worked since the first edition. The guests of the night come from Taiwan: Bo Yin, Rye and BDOT. This is a night for you if you go clubbing to hear something you have never heard before, not for the photo at the door.

   The party sits in The Observatory's line-up for the last week of August: the night before, on Friday, the same venue runs an Arcan takeover, so the weekend can be closed with two nights in a row.

   The night has no name, which means you get to give it one. The crew signs off with «See you in the mess», and that is the most honest description of the format.
