Indie night «Scene Incubator #8»

   Three musical worlds meet in one night: urgent alternative rock, songs that follow no formula, and brooding post-punk. The eighth night of the Scene Incubator series is a rare chance to hear three Saigon underground projects back to back on one small stage.

   The three acts:

• — Anesthetic Youth — an alternative rock band returning after four years of silence, with founder Jesus, new vocalist My An, Angelo Silva and Luis Zapiola; the single «Adapting» opens their new chapter;
• — Noschool Production — the project of Patu and Ben from From Da Slum Collective: no formula, no fixed genre, feeling leads the way;
• — ToanRaw — post-punk and darkwave built around the songwriting of Nguyễn Minh Toàn, a new name on the independent stage with no official release yet.

   The night is put on by Ethos Collective at Úm Ba La in Thảo Điền — a community behind many nights of Vietnamese underground culture. Entry includes one drink.

   It suits listeners who want Saigon live music at its rawest, with the band a few steps away and the differences between three projects turning into a dialogue in sound.

   The Facebook event says 19:00, while the poster puts the sets from 20:00 — come early to pick your spot.
