A full exhibition hall given over to scale model cars sounds like a niche use of floor space, and that is exactly the point: for collectors in Vietnam this is a rare chance to handle the stock in person and haggle with the seller instead of squinting at marketplace photos. If your shelf already holds a few 1:64 or 1:18 pieces, expect it to get more crowded after these two days.

The fair is run by Hobby Horizon together with SaigonToys, a Ho Chi Minh City chain of hobby shops dealing in model cars, model kits and figures. Everything fits inside Hall A2 at Sky Expo and keeps the same opening hours on both days, so picking whichever day suits you costs nothing in content. Vendor registration closed on 31 July 2026, which means the seller list is already locked in.

Sky Expo sits inside Quang Trung Software Park in the north-western outskirts of the city, with several road links making it an easy run from Tân Sơn Nhất airport. The scale is larger than the phrase «toy fair» suggests: over 38,600 m² of built area, 22,000 m² of exhibition floor and a capacity of 20,000 people. There are two entrances, one off Quốc lộ 1A and one off đường Tô Ký — name the gate when you book a car.

Three groups get the most out of it: long-time collectors hunting limited and rare releases, newcomers with a handful of models and no idea where to go next, and families with car-obsessed kids. The Facebook event had already logged close to 400 responses before any detailed programme appeared, which tells you the Vietnamese diecast community is bigger than it looks from outside.
