Breakfast Talk «Beyond Compliance»

   Methane leaks, regulatory reporting, ageing equipment — industrial operators are increasingly asked to prove with numbers what used to be taken on trust. Over morning coffee in Ho Chi Minh City, two Bureau Veritas engineers unpack how emissions and asset data turn into decisions that save money and keep inspectors satisfied.

   Two speakers lead the session. David Nino Gomez is the company's Global Technical Lead for Tech-Augmented Inspections, and Graham Wright is its Southeast Asia Technical Director. Bureau Veritas works in testing, inspection and certification, and the talk is built on practical case studies rather than theory.

   Five topics are on the agenda:
Methane Measurement, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MMRV)
Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and fugitive emissions management
digital asset management and digital transformation
asset integrity, reliability and maintenance optimisation
using operational and environmental data for better decisions

   The organisers promise a concrete take-away: how to detect, quantify and cut methane and fugitive emissions, how to lift equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency with digital tools, and where the slack sits in the asset lifecycle. The audience is named plainly — industrial operators and OPEX professionals in oil and gas, petrochemicals, refining, pipelines, storage and terminals, ports and lifting equipment.    The host is CCI France Vietnam (CCIFV), the French-Vietnamese chamber of commerce, part of the CCI France International network of 121 chambers across 98 countries. The breakfast is held at the chamber's own office in Thảo Điền, one of its two business centres in the country; the other is in Hanoi.

   Chamber members attend at no cost, everyone else pays 250,000 VND. Registration closes at 8:00 on 11 September, an hour before the doors open, so it is worth signing up ahead of the morning itself.
