Sim racing festival «Formula Day 2026»

   Formula 1 comes back from its summer break, and for once Hanoi has somewhere to watch it together: half a day behind a racing simulator, then the Grand Prix itself on a big screen, surrounded by people who can name the teams from the colour of the car alone.

   Formula Day 2026 is run by ONION Gaming Club, a sim racing and eSports venue, across UNION Hall and the club's own racing floor inside COMPLEX 01 — a former printing factory in Đống Đa rebuilt as a community mall. TV360, MOZA Racing and LG come on board as partners. The day merges two things that usually live apart: a competitive F1 Sim Racing tournament and a proper watch party.

   On the programme:

   • the F1 Sim Racing tournament;

   • the Dutch Grand Prix watch party, 20:00 – 22:00;

   • an open simulator zone for everyone attending;

   • minigames, a race-result prediction game and giveaways;

   • time with Hanoi's F1 and sim racing community.

   The race on screen carries its own weight. The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort is round 12 of the 2026 season and one of six sprint weekends on the calendar; under the current contract it is the last edition the circuit is due to host, so unless the deal is renewed this is the final time Zandvoort appears in a Formula 1 season.

   You do not need to be a sim racer to turn up. If you have only ever watched F1 through a screen, this is where you find out how much force a real wheel pushes back with; if you already race online, it is a rare chance to meet the Hanoi grid face to face. COMPLEX 01 sits in Đống Đa, a short ride south-west of the Old Quarter, down an alley off Tây Sơn street.

   The organisers take sign-ups in advance.

   Pick the driver you are backing before you arrive — the arguing starts long before lights out.
