«King Of Games» tournament at RetroBop

   Three genres in one afternoon, and the winner has to be decent at all of them. RetroBop in Tay Ho has built a tournament that folds arcade, party and fighting games into a single bracket.

   How it works:

• — the games are Tetris, Mario Kart 8 and Tekken 6;
• — the top four from Galaga and the Mario Party mini-games go through to the Tekken 6 final bracket;
• — schedule: 14:00 registration, 15:00 Tetris, 16:00 Mario Kart, 17:00 finalists announced, 17:30 Tekken 6 finals;
• — the prize pot is built from entry fees (25,000 VND each) plus 500,000 VND from the bar: first takes two thirds, second a third, third gets a free drink.

   You do not need to be a competitive player — mixing three unrelated games means specialists rarely sweep it. It suits a group looking for a different kind of Sunday afternoon, and the bar is a short walk from West Lake.
