Social dance night «Slow Dance when the World Ends» at Blake's House of Jazz

   No dancing experience needed: this Sunday Blake's House of Jazz in Hanoi's Old Quarter turns its candlelit jazz room into a dance floor, starting with a short taster class and then letting the band carry you from swing into the blues.

   «Slow Dance when the World Ends» is a social dance night in a jazz club. At 8pm the evening opens with a short blues beginners' class from Hanoi Blues Dance, with an instructor to help you find your footing and catch the groove. From 9pm the band takes the stage and the floor stays open for uninterrupted social dancing late into the night.

   On stage is the full six-person line-up hosted by Blake: vocals, piano, guitar, bass and drums.

   It is a night for couples, swing and blues lovers, and anyone who simply wants to try a slow dance among dark polished wood, candlelight and cocktails.

   Founded in 2022, Blake's seats about 40. The club warns that seating and dance floor space are strictly limited, so book a table in advance through Blake's website or by messaging the page.

   Come by on Sunday, offer someone your hand and let the outside world fade for a while.
