A 22-year-old waitress in Montmartre decides to spend her days quietly fixing other people's lives — until she has to ask herself what would make her own happy. That's Cuộc đời tuyệt vời của Amélie Poulain (Amélie).
Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet turns Paris into something both familiar and dreamlike through Amélie's eyes, with Audrey Tautou in the title role and Mathieu Kassovitz as Nino, the man who throws her plan off course. The film runs 2h00.
A rare chance to catch this one on the big screen — the screening is part of Institut français Vietnam's Ciné-Club with White Light Cinéhub, ticket includes a drink.
