Ha Long Concert 2026

   Once a year, a great open-air stage rises right by the bay in Ha Long. Thousands gather for a free concert marking the founding of Quảng Ninh province — a night of big sound, stage lights and sea views that has become one of the city's fixtures.

   The occasion is a historic one. Quảng Ninh province was created on 30 October 1963 by merging the Hồng Quảng zone and Hải Ninh province. Its very name was assembled from two others — Quảng Yên and Hải Ninh — a version said, by tradition, to have been suggested by Ho Chi Minh.

   The region is known across Vietnam for two things — its coal mines and Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The anniversary concert has long since become a city tradition, drawing tens of thousands to the square in past years. In 2026 the province turns 63.

   This one is for everyone at once — locals, families with children and travellers who happen to be in town: a big stage, lights, live sound and the bay behind it make for a genuine open-air street party. No ticket is needed; just come early.
