About the event

Three days a week, in the Lotus Pond – H Tower Slope area of My Son, Cham folk songs ring out amid displays of Cham instruments, costumes and documents. If you have already seen the dances in the performance hall, this is your chance to hear the voice of the same culture.

The «Hát Dân ca Chăm» («Cham folk singing») programme is run by the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board (Ban Quản lý Di sản Văn hóa thế giới Mỹ Sơn). According to the Bao Da Nang newspaper, it was introduced in 2025 alongside new services such as a local food space and hands-on Cham pottery making, and it appears in the board's list of programmes for 2026.

On 25 September 2026, the board presented a performance and exhibition space for Cham instruments in the same Lotus Pond – H Tower Slope area (Hồ Sen – dốc tháp H). There, visitors can:
— see artefacts, instruments, costumes, photographs and documents on Cham culture
— listen to Cham folk songs and to the ghi-năng and paranưng drums and the saranai horn, and watch traditional Cham dances
— try playing the instruments, put on Cham costume and join activities with folk artists

It suits visitors who want to explore Cham culture through music, families whose children like to try instruments for themselves, and anyone who knows My Son from its towers and now wants to experience it through sound.

The programme runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in the morning and in the afternoon, on the H Tower slope, and is paused in bad weather. The area lies within the heritage site, which you enter with a My Son admission ticket; the board does not publish a separate price for the programme.

Contacts: ticket hotline 0963 412 068, email [email protected].

Let Cham folk songs be the closing note of your day in the temple valley.
