Exhibition «Mùa Thu độc lập - Khát vọng hùng cường»

   Forty-five large-format art photographs, more than 150 historical images and documents, and a hands-on stand of AI traffic cameras - Hai Phong lays out eighty-one years of its history in a form you can walk through rather than merely read. The second run of the display reopens for the National Day week.

   The exhibition is staged by the Hai Phong department of culture, sports and tourism (Sở Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch) together with the city public security service (Công an thành phố). It marks four anniversaries at once: 81 years of the August Revolution, National Day on 2 September, 81 years of the People's Public Security force, and 21 years of the All-People Security Protection Day. The material is built as two linked parts.

   What the two parts hold:
Part one, «Mùa Thu độc lập - Khát vọng hùng cường», gathers more than 150 photographs and documents with excerpts and figures, tracing the country from the struggle for independence to the economic, cultural, social and defence shifts of the reform years
Part two, «Tự hào truyền thống - Vững bước tiên phong», shows 45 large-format documentary art prints on Lami film, screens the documentary «Công an Hải Phòng - Sáng mãi trang sử Anh hùng», and opens a hands-on zone with AI traffic camera technology alongside modern firefighting and rescue equipment

   Who it suits: residents who want to see their city across eight decades; families with children, since rescue gear draws them far more strongly than any caption; visitors curious why this port city has so often stood on the front line. The camera zone shows in plain sight how the city watches its roads today.

   The show is also tied to Hai Phong's own theme for 2026 - «Chủ động thực thi, phát huy động lực, tăng trưởng bứt phá» («Act on your own initiative, release the driving forces, grow in a breakthrough»), so the historical thread runs straight into what the city is chasing now.

   There are two venues and their schedules differ. At Nhà Triển lãm - Trung tâm Văn hóa, Điện ảnh và Triển lãm (số 1 Nguyễn Đức Cảnh, phường Hồng Bàng) the display runs in two waves: the first closed on 23 August, the second is open from 28 August to 4 September. At Trung tâm văn hóa xứ Đông on đường Tôn Đức Thắng, phường Lê Thanh Nghị the display stays open without a break until 3 September. Opening hours have not been published.
