Club night «DNa Vol.07»

About the event

Da Nang's techno series reaches its seventh edition, and the guest this time is a DJ who lives between two port cities. It is a small, curated night for listeners who want to follow a whole set rather than wait for a track they recognise.

The featured guest is NODA, a low-key but persistent figure in the underground scenes of Kobe and Saigon. His taste was shaped over years of collecting vinyl, playing at underground events and actually building spaces for music and community in both Japan and Vietnam. For this edition he brings his deep selection and distinctive approach to the Gatosano floor, connecting two underground communities.

Sharing the booth are two residents of the series itself, MunchieNzman and Son.of.deSun, both familiar names in Da Nang's techno circle. The night sits between techno and acid: plenty of machines, plenty of repetition, very little room for a hit.

The DNa series follows a clear habit: every edition invites one guest, usually from Japan. Its fifth edition, held in April this year, was also led by a Japanese DJ, and that habit turns the series into a steady channel between a Da Nang dancefloor and the small scenes of Kobe and Osaka. The word acid in the genre line is the trace of one machine: the squelching, bending bassline of the Roland TB-303, which shaped an entire branch of electronic music.

Gatosano is a compact club in the Mỹ An area, a few minutes' walk from the beach, and it does not run music every night. Its series appear weeks or months apart and usually revolve around a specific guest from Japan, which is also how its bigger nights begin.

If you are in Da Nang and looking for a small room where people come to listen, this is the right call for the weekend.
