Festival «Việt Nam - Hàn Quốc» (Vietnam – Korea Festival in Da Nang 2026)

   For four days the beachfront park on Da Nang's eastern shore turns into a compact Korea: more than 90 booths of food, travel, culture and education, a hanbok dressing-up corner, a K-pop stage and a friendly football match against former Korean national team players. If a summer trip to Seoul didn't happen this year, this is a far shorter flight.

   This is the fifth edition of the festival in the city. The opening ceremony starts at 7pm on 7 August on the main stage, with around 300 officials, business leaders and partner organisations from both countries; organisers expect more than 50,000 visitors across the four days.

   K-pop fans get the stage and the random dance sessions; families get folk games and a large food court; and if you study Korean or are weighing up a degree in Korea, the education rows run consultations on culture, campuses and study routes. The park sits between My Khe and Pham Van Dong beaches, so an afternoon swim folds neatly into the evening programme.

   The 2025 edition ran in the same park with 80 booths and marked 33 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The numbers behind the festival explain its scale: Da Nang welcomed over one million Korean visitors in the first seven months of 2025, and by 2024 the city counted roughly 335 Korean investment projects worth about 2.2 billion USD.

   The festival is directed by the Da Nang People's Committee and delivered by the city's Department of Foreign Affairs together with the Centre for International Cooperation Development and Foreign Affairs Services (CIFA), in coordination with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Da Nang.

   Booths and stage programmes in the park are open to everyone; food, drinks and services inside the booths are paid separately. A few items are not walk-in: the «Meet Korea in Da Nang» conference on artificial intelligence, held on the afternoon of 7 August for some 200 delegates, plus the first Vietnam – Korea Friendship Diplomatic Golf Tournament and the Da Nang – Pyeongtaek online Korean speaking contest, which both run on registration lists.
